PAT test

Portable appliance testing, commonly known as PAT testing, is a way of checking your electrical equipment to see if it is safe and is vital to protect your business and its employees.

With twenty years’ experience, we can help you to organize your PAT testing project at your business or for tenanted premises. We will be happy to provide advice and assistance in handling the complete process on your behalf and provide a personalized PAT testing quote.

Why Should I PAT test?

Whilst PAT testing is not strictly compulsory, it is generally regarded as being the best way of meeting the electrical regulations that exist to protect employees, customers and tenants.

All portable electrical equipment is subject to getting damaged during use, and this damage could render the equipment dangerous to the user. Without a regular program of testing and inspection, you have not taken reasonable steps to ensure the safety of users.

Tests and inspections should be made at reasonable and regular intervals, bearing in mind the rate of use.

Sound Reinforcement Systems

A sound reinforcement system is the combination of microphones, amplifiers, and loudspeakers that makes live or pre-recorded sounds louder and enhance acoustic performances as well as speech .

It is important that background music can be heard without being intrusive, bearing in mind the number of guests you’re expecting. For example, you might love the idea of an acoustic guitar, piano or some vocals but if you’re expecting more than 60 or 70 guests the sound may be lost without amplification.

Induction loop

With the addition of an induction loop which can be temporarily installed in the venue that is not equipped with induction loops will help you reach a wider audience.
Induction loop systems allow hearing impaired people to hear more clearly.

Most hearing aids have a 'T' or 'MT' switch that allows them to pick up the electromagnetic field generated by a telephone earpiece. This signal is converted by the hearing aid into a sound suited to its user's specific hearing requirements. An induction loop system uses this same principle but generates a much larger magnetic field than that created by a telephone earpiece and radiates it around a room via a 'loop' of cable. Any hearing-impaired person positioned within the loop can hear the loop signal by switching their hearing aid to the correct position.

We can offer permanent induction loop & sound reinforcement systems for ticket booths or bank counters to larger installations such as village halls theatres, cinemas and nursing homes TV lounges, etc.
